Lewis & Clark Committees

This section provides contact information for the state and federal organizations involved in bicentennial planning projects in Idaho. View Idaho's Lewis and Clark Strategic Marketing Plan.

The Idaho Lewis and Clark Information Center is an office of the Idaho State Historical Society charged with coordinating bicentennial activities in the state. Keith Petersen is the state coordinator and is located in Lewiston.

The Lemhi County Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Committee coordinates planning activities in the Salmon, Idaho area.

The Clearwater-Snake Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Committee coordinates planning activities around Lewiston and the Highway 12/95 corridors.

The Nez Perce Tribe Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Committee coordinates planning activities for the tribe and responds to requests for tribal involvement in other projects. Contact the committee coordinator.
