Lewis & Clark Traveling Trunks are treasure chests brimming with hands-on items that make learning about the Lewis & Clark Expedition and the Native American people whose homelands they crossed immediate and enjoyable. Contents of trunks vary by subject, and each includes such educational resources as replicas of artifacts, lesson plans, users¹ guides, music CDs, and videos. These mobile exhibits are available for use in the classroom, libraries, or any place where the Expedition is being studied and commemorated.

More than 3,000 pages of original manuscripts, rare books, and contemporary illustrations from the Lewis and Clark expedition can be found in American Journeys. All of these documents may be printed or downloaded for non-commercial educational use.
The Museum of Idaho has created educational materials for teachers bringing students to their Lewis and Clark Exhibit however the downloadable Teacher’s Packet and student worksheets as well as the quiz are fun for anyone.
The Lewis and Clark Rediscovery Project: Life-Long Learning Online invites you to interactively experience the Lewis and Clark Expedition, the 200 years of change since the Expedition, and the Mars mission that expands upon the foundation created by the explorers of the past. Multiple perspectives are contained within the site, including Native American, historical, and scientific.
